neat and strong

There is an external transformer.What I liked though was the doorbell was a strong steel and not a cheap plastic. It's a pity this couldn't work for me.

Good video intercom

Quality product, easy to install. Video and sound quality is very good. Remember the 4-wires are for sound and video only, if you have an electric gate release you must pull 2 extra wires for that and then connect it to the NO contact on the door unit to operate it.

    Very happy with this product. It is almost 3 years since I have purchased it and it still works 100%. The quality of the screen is good enough for me. It sometimes get affected by the weather. If it is for instance a rainy day, the sound doesn't always work, but when the weather clears up it is fine again.

    I returning to review this product.
    Till date I have not had a intercom unit that has lasted this long most other i have tried lasted 6 months.

    Video is okay could be better but can very easily see who is at the door.

    This product exceeded my expectations. It was one of the lower cost products in the category so I did not expect too much in terms of build and picture quality. But it feels heavy and well build. The picture quality is much better that what I came to expect from a video intercom. Especially at night the video is quite impressive. Hikvision is known for their security cameras and I think this intercom kit really benefitted from that pedigree. My only two complaints would be that I wished it shipped with a longer cable (as I had to buy a 15m one) and that it had a mute button.

    Pro's: very good image quality, solid doorbell. Con's: need a very tiny screw driver to adjust the volume control, I've tried various with no luck

    The unit works well, but the speaker on the doorbell distorts a lot and isn't very good quality. The other functions work really well, and we got it connected to our maglock gate to open for clients etc.
