The COMPTYCO CFS-3 3-Hole Optical Fiber Stripping Pliers are precision fibre preparation tools designed for FTTH installation, fibre optic maintenance, cable termination and fusion splicing. With three dedicated stripping apertures integrated into a single compact tool, technicians can remove different protective fibre layers quickly without switching between multiple stripping tools.

Constructed from high-carbon tool steel, the CFS-3 features a polished and blackened surface finish designed to provide improved wear resistance, corrosion protection and long-term durability. The precision-machined stripping apertures allow controlled removal of fibre coatings while helping protect the delicate optical fibre underneath.

3-Hole Segmented Fibre Stripping Design

The CFS-3 provides three stripping stages for preparing optical fibre:

1. Large Hole – Outer Protective Jacket

The large aperture is designed for stripping approximately 2–3mm optical fibre outer protective jackets or soft protective sleeves, exposing the next layer of the fibre assembly.

2. Intermediate Hole – 900`ecm Protective Layer

The intermediate aperture is designed for stripping approximately 900`ecm / 0.9mm outer protective layers, providing access to the smaller fibre coating underneath.

3. Small Hole – Primary Coating

The small aperture is designed for stripping the 250`ecm coating down to 125`ecm, exposing the bare glass optical fibre for subsequent cleaving and fusion splicing.

Adjustable Jaw Mechanism

The CFS-3 incorporates a fine-adjustment jaw screw that allows technicians to adjust the stripping aperture according to the fibre coating and operating requirements.

Clockwise rotation: Increases the aperture.
Counter-clockwise rotation: Reduces the aperture.

The included hexagonal Allen key makes fine adjustments simple and convenient.

Durable High-Carbon Tool Steel Construction
