1.25G BiDi SFP Transceiver Pair 120km - TX1490/RX1550nm, Single Fibre LC DDM (SFP-GE-BX120-A/B)

The SFP-GE-BX120-A/B is a matched pair of 1.25Gbps BiDi SFP transceivers that carries Gigabit Ethernet in both directions over a single strand of single-mode fibre, at distances of up to 120km. Built for extended-reach links in service-provider, metropolitan and backbone networks where fibre cores are limited.

BiDi (WDM) modules transmit and receive on different wavelengths, so one fibre core does the job of two. The A module transmits at 1490nm and receives at 1550nm, while the B module transmits at 1550nm and receives at 1490nm. Install the A module at one end of the link and the B module at the other.

Each module has a simplex LC connector and fits any compatible SFP slot on switches, routers and media converters. Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) lets supported equipment report each module's temperature, voltage and optical power levels. Achievable distance depends on the total loss of the fibre route, including splices and connectors. Check that your equipment accepts generic SFP modules before ordering.
