The COMPTYCO VCFS-30 Three-Port Optical Fiber Stripping Pliers are precision fibre preparation tools designed for FTTH installation, fusion splicing, fibre termination, network maintenance and optical cable preparation. By combining three stripping apertures into one compact tool, the VCFS-30 allows technicians to remove multiple layers of fibre protection efficiently without constantly changing stripping tools.

Manufactured from 420 stainless steel, the stripping pliers undergo high-temperature quenching heat treatment and surface polishing to improve hardness, durability and resistance to rust and corrosion. The precision-machined stripping openings are designed to provide controlled removal of protective coatings while helping protect the underlying optical fibre.

3-Port Segmented Fibre Stripping Design

The VCFS-30 uses a three-stage stripping configuration for different layers of optical fibre protection:

1. Large Aperture – Outer Protective Sleeve

The largest stripping opening is designed for removing approximately 2–3mm soft rubber protective sleeves or outer protective material, providing access to the underlying fibre structure.

2. Intermediate Aperture – Outer Protective Layer

The intermediate aperture is suitable for stripping approximately 0.9mm outer protective layers and compatible fibre protection layers.

3. Small Aperture – Primary Fibre Coating

The smallest stripping opening is designed for removing the 125–250`ecm coating layer, exposing the 125`ecm bare optical fibre for subsequent cleaving and fusion splicing preparation.

Adjustable Jaw Mechanism

The VCFS-30 incorporates a jaw aperture adjustment screw that allows technicians to fine-tune the stripping tension according to the fibre coating and working requirements. The included Allen key makes adjustment straightforward.

Turning the adjustment screw clockwise increases the aperture, while turning it counter-clockwise reduces the aperture.

This adjustment capability helps achieve controlled stripping performance while reducing the risk of excessive pressure on the optical fibre.

Durable 420 Stainless Steel Construction

The main stripping body is manufactured from 420 stainless steel and treated through high-temperature quenching and surface polishing. This construction provides a strong and durable tool suitable for regular field use while offering improved resistance to rust and corrosion.

Ergonomic PVC Anti-Slip Handles

The blue PVC-coated handles provide a comfortable and secure grip. The anti-slip surface helps technicians maintain control during repetitive stripping operations and contributes to reduced hand fatigue during extended fibre installation or splicing work.

Safety Lock & Spring-Assisted Operation

An integrated opening and closing lock buckle allows the pliers to be secured in the closed position when not in use. This makes the tool easier and safer to store in a toolbox or carrying case.
