Nice piece of hardware
The first one I bought was unfortunately faulty. I requested a replacement and received it very quickly from Takealot. I installed it and it solved my problem with my remote TVs. Very satisfied!

Wow it meets all my expectations with this device you connect a 2nd tv like in your bed room. Its even better if you new dstv decoder came with rcs cables and then you connect it to this device. There is a another method you can do it bit then picture quality not so good in the bedroom.

DSTV remote extender
You need this to enable remote control for the newer models DSTV decoders (Eplora, Explora Ultra, etc) that only have one co-ax input but no co-ax output. This product works well with all my remote TVs, with good signal quality

Bought this unit connected to the explora ultra in order view programs in bedroom on 2nd tv, picture and sound very good quality.Unfortunately not able to change channels remotely from bedroom through the tv eyelink connected to the tv.Both the modulator and tv eyelink new units.Unfortunately cannot recommend it lf you need to change channels from another room. It seems it requires a dstv decoder with a rf out to work which the ultra dont have .

A VERY USEABLE PRODUCT
The included product manual leaves alot to be desired regarding how to setup ones DSTV decoder and an extra TV... not very informative...once I had sourced a YOUTUBE video all was easy... A really great little product and works truly fantastic. One would need some technical know-how or a step by step youtube video. I am very happy with the product.
