A complete system needs an NVR with enough channels and PoE ports, a hard drive sized to your desired recording days, and Cat5e/Cat6 cabling. A microSD card can be added for on-board backup.

Placement & installation tips

Domes work best mounted on a ceiling or under an eave, roughly 2.5–3 metres high, looking out across the room or entrance. Angle it so it captures faces at the doorway or till point rather than just the floor, and keep it away from direct bright light to avoid glare on the clear dome cover. Run the single PoE cable back to your NVR or PoE switch. Because the tinted dome hides which way the lens is pointing, you can cover a wide area discreetly without making it obvious exactly where the camera is aimed.
