Decent network intercom
Decent buy and works great. Like that you can open your gate from anywhere with the Hik-Connect app but with all Hikvision cameras and network equipment you need to be a bit technical to configure and install the product. Both intercom and indoor station can be powered over 48V PoE which is a plus.
Great Video Intekom
I reviewed many options available and this product won because it included the door station and indoor monitor and Power Over Ethernet Switch. It would have been better to include the rain cover as well so I order rain cover DS-KABV8113-RS separately and they all fit together perfectly. I purchased 30m good quality outdoor cable for door station to POE and 2 shorter 3m cables for indoor monitor to POE switch and POE switch to modem. As I have a standalone HIK CCTV system it was fairly easy to connect the video to the HIK connect app which I already had installed on my cellphone. I received a quote to install which would have doubled the price I paid so I did it myself. I have not installed a gate opening switch as this in not important to me but it will be the next step if I ever want it. I have used a small desktop wifi video intekom which had served its purpose, but weak wifi internet connections caused it to fail so this cable option is much more suitable for my home office purpose. I would recommend this highly. Money well spent.
