I used this mixer to make an enormous cake that most people without a stand mixer would not attempt. It worked like a champion, maybe a bit slower to get everything fluffy, but no struggles. The long beaters made this possible.

This is the fastest hand mixer I have ever used, very durable, definitely recommend. Also nice that it comes with the cake/bread hooks, I won’t need them, but it’s a nice addition. It also doesn’t make much noise.

Bought a cheaper mixer on Takealot but was not worth the lower price and sent it back. I decided on this Philips and as expected, brilliant quality and worth every cent. Very happy with it, I recommend to pay a little more and get a quality product. 250W is more than adequate and good difference between speeds number 1 - 5.

Unlike our old mixer, this one has variable speed and will not rip off your finger in an accident because it jumped into warp speed. Very happy with the brand - I noticed that quite a few of our unreliable appliances have been replace by Philips lately, so I guess I am sticking with this brand from now on

Philips hand mixer
I'm a baker and had a kenwood hand mixer for over 10 years, but the gears stopped working, had to find a new mixer and came across the Philips one. I love the style and color, and it is so quiet compared to the old mixer. The whisk is slightly bigger and created lots of air into your mixture giving it a fluffier texture. I would definitely recommend it!
