It Works!
I always wanted one and finally got one,im a simple man looking for one machine that can do hair and beard in one go,this is that machine...now im able to keep my hair and beard short cutting every forth day and only charge after every second cut...yes i would recommend this product it works for me.

My fourth or fifth Philips shaver, over the last 20 plus years, they keep getting better with each new generation. Great battery life and works really well. Recommended.

first time I used an wet dry shaver and I'm very impressed with it. Does a neat job. I love it and recommend the Phillips 5000.

Good razor
It's a good razor which gives a fairly close shaver. I've had a few Phillips 1000 series which have also been decent razors but the NiMH batteries had limited life. The lithium battery in the 5000 series lasts at least 4 times as long.

I've used Philips shavers for more than 40 years and always found them reliable and effective. I've recently been suffering razor-rash so tried the 5000 series for the first time, and I'm delighted with its very light touch. You don't have to press it on your skin - just lightly run it over and it shaves closely.

PHILIPS 5000 SERIES WET & DRY SHAVER
Wow! I had a series 3000 for about 8 years or so and although the replacement blades aren't what they used to be, shaving was time consuming and not a good 'clean' shave. I'm left wondering why I left it so long to buy this beauty. A full great shave in under a minute and the battery just goes on - and on-and on. Strongly recommend and it seems that the price online with Takealot is considerably less than I saw at other retailers.

Brilliant - better & far closer than anticipated. Would have liked a longer lead to the docking station.
I have been a Phillips Electric Shaver PT927 user for about two decades and this is such a great improvement. Battery life is superb as well. -
Having gone from a razor to this has been interesting. Works great and does not nip the skin. Best to use with a shaving cream to reduce skin irritation. Fast and effective and the charge lasts long. Works great in shower and out.

Great Shaver
My previous Philips shaver did not shave as close as the Philips 5000 series. My shaving time is now much shorter and shaves much closer to the skin. Intervals between charging are required less. What a great product.

Very good rotary electric razor
I have found this new design rotary razor to be very good and give an efficient, close shave. It can be used dry or wet, but I use it dry and I get a clean shave in around one minute. The trimmer is also good, and I wash the heads with running water to keep them clean. I have previously had Philips rotary shavers, and then went onto using a foil razor, which was not very good. I recommend this wholeheartedly as a good all round razor, and you don't really need to pay a lot more for the higher series shavers when this is perfectly good. It also comes with a sturdy protective case and charging base.

This is an amazing shaver. I am 52 and had two Phillips models prior to this one. This model shave in a 3rd of the time. The battery life is also very good. It gives a smooth clean shave.

Just hope Philips keeps supplying the razor head. Have an old Phillips with SH90 and have had to replace because no ORIGINAL head available from Phillips. -
Quality product
Good materials and engineering, including the charger stand and carry case. At first the shape of the shaver heads look wrong because a face does not have straight edges. In practice they work well to give a great shave under the nose and chin. Pricy yet fine product. Time will tell if it lives up to its claim of multi year life.

The shaver delivers a close shave. i charged it a week ago and it's still showing 3 bars (fully charged). i had a spare USB adaptor, so no extra cost there. Takealot have spare blades listed, so I'll buy 2 spare sets soon and the shaver should be good for 6 years.
