If you are wondering whether is worth spending the extra few rand on the 450w vs the 300w let me tell you it's 1000% worth it. The 450w can literally do anything needed for baking! I wouldn't mess around with non branded beaters, Philips is best!

Replaced a 20-year old electric mixer with this one. So far what is somewhat annoying is it doesn't stand perfectly (given the placement of the cable); the mixers are sometimes troublesome to attach. Overall it performs like the average electric mixer

This is the best mixer if you have to bake a lot, I have tried different brands previously but keep coming back to this one. The motor is nice and strong and the beaters are nice and large. Would highly recommend this mixer for anyone that does a lot of baking

The mixer is powerful, user friendly, the bulk of the weight over the sticks, which makes it easy to hold. The little clip on the cable to tidy and keep the cord in place when in storage is an ingenious touch, simple and very effective.

Great product with only 2 minor disappointments. The electric cord is just too short and they should include the balloon whips as well as balloon whisks for different mixing functions.

I've used my mixer now for a variety of things and I'm happy with the power and speed. It whips cream quickly, and can go for longer periods as well, like when you're creaming butter. So far, I've used it continuously for 7-8 minutes without it overheating. It's heavier than expected, and the attachments are slightly loose because of the design, but neither has been an issue yet. The noise is to be expected with such a product, but isn't loud or soft. I bought this on recommendation from a friend who is completely happy with hers and has had it for years. All in all, this product is great. I look forward to many more years of use.

Girlfriend loves it
My girlfriends loves it and apparently I made the right choice by going the higher wattage. Most mixer have a low wattage and tend to take strain and die but this one has a higher one and has variable speeds.

This little machine is the right appliance for me. It serves its purpose. I do wish I had taken one with a stand though. But that was my decision. its just difficult to get the mixing blades inserted.

I've previously had one of these mixers before and I simply love the lower speed settings when you need gentle speeds for mixing your batters. The large whisks are a dream to quickly whisk up eggs, cream and batter. Very sturdy and reliable product.

I was so impressed with this mixer. Used it about twice a month for the 7 months that I had it and the one whisk started coming loose. Apon using the whole balloon ended up in my batter, probably because of the power of the mixer it fell completely off. I unfortunately had to return it and buy a mixer with a more solid whisk attachment. No disappointmentson the mixer itself, just the thin attachments.

This is a super nice mixer - very powerful and you can feel the motor is strong as it is a bit heavier than usual for a hand mixer. Lovely Turbo button which helps with whisking eggs. Lovely quality product from Philips.
