Everything I expected from a portable Aircon.
Great to take the edge off
Quietest portable A/C in my experience - have tried others, and this is the only one that you can have on while sleeping / work calls etc. Pretty effective to take the heat edge off, have one in the living room and bedroom and use it daily. Not too bad on electricity, uses around 8 - 10 units a day.

It is small and powerful. Have to switch off at time because it is getting too cold. It was a good buy for me.

A Good Aircon
This product delivered exactly what I needed. The cool function cooled down the room in MINUTES. Installing the exhaust pipe was a bit tricky but once I figured it out the aircon worked like a dream.

Cools a small room quickly.. Only downsides I found with this product is there is a swivel option on the remote but does not swivel even after pushing the button, does nothing.. And the exhaust pipe doesn't come with the option to put in a lever window or standard open window.. It's for sliding windows.. Otherwise a decent product. Reviewed by Andrew

What a great unit! It cools the whole lounge and suitable for the smaller bedroom.
Cools down to 18° and toasty for Winter. Easy to use digital pad and comes with a remote (batteries included). Lightweight and easy to wheel around. Only downside the window fitting does not fit older windows. -

The product has a good quality feel from buttons to construction. Heavier than you would think and works well. Easy to setup and to use. Instructions included in packaging is easy to understand and to follow. Chills a room relatively well and we are enjoying the product.

Unsuitable for burglar barred windows
I had to send this back a day after collection. Realized very soon that the hose wouldn't work with burglar bars (diagonal) on the windows.

Extremely quick delivery from Takealot (considering it was a week before Christmas) I am so impressed with this standalone Air-con. It was easy to set up, with the bonus of adjustable panels to block air from getting out of the window. Quiet and effective running for the room during summer allowing work to be more productive. Also able to use as a heater during winter. Has a remote control to operate from your desk. Best purchase this summer.

Great but very loud
Works as advertised, but in a small room, it is very loud, it's not louder than advertised but something you really need to get used to if you're a light sleeper that enjoys a quiet bedroom.
A few notes:
- If you don't have a sliding window, you will have to DIY something to get the extractor pipe to sit nicely out of your window.
- Very loud, takes some time to get used to
- Uses A LOT of electricity - just be weary of that that
None of these were deal breakers and essentially I am very happy with the product, just takes some getting used to. -
I love my unit, it does exactly what I had hoped and what is advertised, makes life bearable for a wannabe Eskimo like me, who finds himself in a heatwave.

Perfect mini ice machine
Contemplated about 4-5 years buying a portable aircon.
This unit has made my dreams come true.
Not much noisier than your standard split units according to me, pushes out the same cold air at 18 degrees than their wall mounted counterparts.
Obviously the warm air exhaust hose does need some love and care when finding a place to put it. But when you do, you will not mind the extra care it needs.
Don’t think twice if you considering getting one. Worth the money without a doubt. -

The small size of the aircon drew our attention as it was initially purchased for our Bushlapa camper. It is a bit of an overkill considering the size of the camper, but it really works well.
When we are not out camping, it is used daily in the study, what a machine, it really does the job.
So far very happy with this product and good quality also.
It only has 2 speed settings which are both quite powerfull, I would have considered a third which could have been for a lower speed -

Does what it's made to do. 2 fan speeds. Does not have a swing function. Cools down a decent size room. Exactly what I needed. Dont buy this if you're expecting insane feature, this is a budget aircon that works great for its price

Amazing little aircon, we get to 40 degrees plus and this little thing cools my open plan lounge/kitchen down to about 24 degrees. I know it doesn't sound great but it is a big area that gets full sun in the morning. It does take a while but not the air cons fault, more the size of the room and the sun. Only negative I can think of is the louvers, they basically point down and if the unit is bumped they tend to drop down all the way but overall I'm very happy!

The Air Pipe is a pain but trust me you wil need it when it blows what feels like boiled air out the back of the machine. This is the best solution I have found that requires no installation. I now own x3 of these. Here are some things I wish I had known prior to purchase: They are a bit noisy and they do not go below 18 Degrees. And also they do not swivel, they just blow air in one direction (forward) They do come with a handy remote to operate it from a distance.
I can not recommend this product enough. I have searched for years to find a genuine aircon 12000BTU or higher amd this is exactly what I was hoping to get. -
Great little worker
Smaller than expected, but really does a great job. Before our room was HOT on these summer days, especially at night. Now we sleep with ease and comfort. Nights that aren't so hot, we just put on the fan and it helps a lot as well.
Just some info not included in the description, it uses more or less 1.3 units per hour on the cooler mode. -

The machine runs well, better than I hoped. It is quiet while running, cools down a small sized room without any issues. I am very satisfied with this product as this is my first time buying a portable aircon and I was unsure what to look for.

I had a few doubts but am so impressed. It works great on the caravan, fits under the table out of the way. Cooles down quickly. I use it in the bedroom when not camping. I made a small fitting and moving it is now plug and use.

Great little machine
*2 Year review* Decent cooling from a very compact unit. Heat outlet is obviously a pain, but once you sort out a window covering, its set and forget. Used a wooden board for that with a hole cutout. Manual operation of louvres, but its a non issue. Works best when room temp is below ~37°C, and ceilings aren't super high. Would suggest watching the video essay by Technology Connections on YouTube to decide if portable is what will work for you.

Swing mode on remote doesn’t work, but the little beast does what it’s supposed to do, blowing out that sweet cool air… the big snorkel is a but clunky and is a pain in the neck, only works with slide windows, direct it away from the room you want to cool down, because it blows out dragons breath…

A beast
This aircon is a beast and can cool down my living room and open plan kitchen very fast. It's very loud but you learn to get used to it, just don't expect to be able to hear your music or TV properly. Other than that, I highly recommend this aircon.

Not as quiet as I expected by reading previous reviews
It is a nice size and neat and compact. The setup was easy . We only just received it , so we are running it to see how it goes. Not ideal weather today in Gauteng to test an aircon as it is cool outside. The louvres dont move although there is an option on the remote to do so , I guess it is not for this model. It is quite noisy and I cant imagine sleeping with it on. We actually bought if to use in Durban in December . When the heat is unbearable I guess we will bear with the noise . Lets wait and see how it performs in Durban weather in December .

Worth It!
I just had to bite the bullet. It becomes unbearable when it's too hot to sleep, and all the fan does is move hot air around the room. The A/C cools the room down perfectly, and I now sleep like a rock. Even my wife can't believe that I'm sleeping this well with the difference in room temperature.
