Description
Give an older VGA-only laptop or desktop a new lease of life on a modern HDTV or projector with this VGA to HDMI converter. It takes a VGA video signal plus a separate 3.5mm audio input and outputs a combined HDMI signal, so you can connect ageing PCs, set-top boxes or laptops to screens that no longer offer a VGA port.
Because HDMI has replaced VGA as the standard on most modern televisions, monitors and projectors, this converter bridges the gap without needing to replace otherwise perfectly usable equipment. It works with both Windows and macOS computers, making it a flexible option across mixed office or home setups.
Key features
- Converts VGA video plus 3.5mm audio into a single HDMI output
- Supports resolutions up to 1080p
- Compatible with Windows and macOS PCs
- Works with laptops, desktops and set-top boxes
- Simple plug-in operation, no software required
Ideal for
- Connecting an older VGA laptop or PC to a modern HDTV
- Presenting from a VGA-only device on an HDMI projector
- Home theatre setups combining legacy and modern equipment
- Offices phasing out VGA monitors without replacing source devices
Good to know
This is a one-way VGA-to-HDMI converter, so the source device must output VGA and the display must accept HDMI input; check both ends of your setup before connecting to avoid compatibility issues.
Customer reviews
worked perfectly
this tiny box did exactly what I needed. turning my old pc with only a VGA output to HDMI that I could view on my new TV. literally plug in VGA on one end, plug in the HDMI cable on the other and a usb adapter for power. thats it. TV picked it up immediately
