ZATECH HY501 Thermal Paste - CPU & Heatsink Compound, Grey

ZATECH HY501 is a general-purpose thermal compound for seating a CPU cooler, GPU heatsink or chipset heatspreader.

Metal surfaces that look flat are not: machining leaves microscopic pits that trap air, and air is a poor conductor of heat. HY501 displaces that air with a conductive grey compound so heat moves from the chip into the heatsink instead of building up in the die.

Apply a pea-sized amount to a clean die and let cooler pressure spread it - more paste is not better.
