This is the tried and tested one! I have used these for a couple of years without issues - they stop working, not your TV! The TV safe has a 50 second startup delay, whereas the Fridge Safe unit is 4 minutes. I recommend this product.

Assembly could use a massive improvement.
I guess they will work as they should, but attaching the wires are very difficult. I assume you should solder them since there is no mechanism to keep the wire in place besides for twisting it around the hole on each pin. Also has 1 screw that requires a special tool to screw in.

Great Protection for My TV
Easy to use and very reliable. Protects my TV from surges and power cuts. Worth every cent for peace of mind! The only issue is that the adapter obstructs access to the plug switch.

I have always used a UPS for protecting my TVs and other digital devices from power surges but this seems like a much better alternative

Good, but failed after 9 months
I love the fact it protects my devices, but the unit started to switch to "wait" status momentarily and back on at random after 9 months. Looking forward to replacement or repaired unit.

Load shedding and the fact that most insurers do not cater for power surges anymore, kind of forces the consumer to install such products on all your more valuable appliances. My experience and preference are with Ellies as I never before experience any issues with their products.

Only use with appliances using low levels of electricity
I bought this product to use at the TV but my husband plugged it in at the microwave. The voltage was obviously just too high and it stopped working immediately. Therefore, use it where the electrical supply is low as indicated i.e. TV. Do not think this will work for appliances that need higher levels of electricity.

Saving me from frustration
My plugs kept tripping after load-shedding and I had to run to the garage after every shed. to reset the breaker. Later, I unplugged the TV multiplug, which is, very inconveniently, located behind the TV cabinet. Then I had to plug it in again after every shed as the Alexa and Water Cooler are running on the same plug. So without it, I had no cold water or Bok Radio.
I bought this TV plug and plugged it in. No more bending down behind the TV cab, or running to the electric box 3 times a day. It is so simple and works amazingly. Such a simple product to rid me of so much frustration. -

Brilliant device
If you don't have several of these then get them, they also make one for a fridge. Every TV and fridge I have has one and I even use them on my computer monitors. If you know that Eskom bill your electricity according to when you load spikes then this is a no-brainer, besides it has a warranty worth R20 000 on your TV if plugged in I think the fridge one is 30k.

Bought three, even have my gaming monitor on one just in case. Because screens use capacitors this is technically not necessary but rather safe than sorry.

This is a good functional product. Be careful! You cannot use this device on a double wall-mounted plug where the 2 plug's earth are facing each other (you will loose the use of the one plug) or where the switch of the plug is above the earth (the device will cover the switch). This device's earth is facing upwards.
