Description
The Hikvision 8-Channel AcuSense DVR provides reliable and intelligent video recording for home and business surveillance systems. Using advanced deep learning technology, the system can accurately detect and classify humans and vehicles, helping reduce false alarms caused by movement such as animals, rain, or lights. This hybrid DVR supports up to eight analog cameras and can be expanded to connect up to twelve IP cameras, offering flexible system configuration. It is compatible with HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS, and IP cameras, making it easy to integrate with existing surveillance setups.

This is a replacement for my old Series Ds 7 dvr which lasted for 9 years. Everything work more or less the same as on my old dvr, with a bit more features. BUT the new software is way to much for even a huge display, and you cannot select what you want on your display or resize it. For instance the most important part - your camera view when using play back - is compromised by a lot of info that take up screen space compared to my previous dvr. Also the playback control is not as user friendly compared to my previous one. The text on the previous one was also way more readable than on the new one, which is a kind of grayish colour.

False alarm
I wanted to reduce the amount of false alarms i was getting at night so i upgraded to this dvr and it solved the problem for me.

Will say dont upgrade the firmware by doing so it will affect the facial recognition part but other than that very impressive piece of equipment

Hikvision DVR
The software interface is very user friendly. There are a lot of videos on the internet to assist with all aspects of the setup if you are unfamiliar with cctv. Mine has been working for a couple of weeks now without any issue. All the alerts are sent to my phone through the Hikvision app with live view. Great product.

Excellent Mid Level DVR
Chose this DVR for the Accusense technology. Senses people and cars, although still sensitive it reduces false alarms for moths and debris at night. Please note that you can only use the smart events(person detection) on 4 of the analog cameras.
