SFP 1.25G 5KM Pair T1310/R1550NM LC

The SFP-WDM-SM-0205A/B is a 1.25Gbps 5KM BiDi WDM Single Fibre SFP Pair designed to provide bidirectional Gigabit Ethernet communication over a single strand of single-mode fibre.

Unlike conventional duplex SFPs that require two fibre cores for transmit and receive, this BiDi/WDM solution uses different optical wavelengths for each direction. The A module transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm, while the B module transmits at 1550nm and receives at 1310nm.

The two modules work together as a matched pair, allowing network data to travel in both directions through the same fibre core.

Each module uses an LC optical connector and a standard SFP form factor, making the pair suitable for compatible switches, routers, media converters and other network devices equipped with SFP ports.

With a transmission reach of up to 5KM over suitable single-mode fibre, this SFP pair is useful for connecting network equipment across buildings, campuses, CCTV sites, commercial properties and other locations where only one fibre core is available.
