The SFP-GE-ZX120 1.25G 1550nm 120KM Single Mode Fibre SFP is a long-distance optical transceiver designed for compatible Gigabit Ethernet networking equipment. With a 1550nm operating wavelength and a transmission reach of up to 120 kilometres, this type of optical module is designed for extended fibre links where standard 10KM, 20KM, 40KM or shorter-reach SFPs are not sufficient.

The module uses a compact SFP hot-pluggable form factor and an LC optical interface, making it suitable for compatible switches, routers, media converters and other network equipment equipped with SFP ports.

The 1.25Gbps data rate makes the SFP-GE-ZX120 suitable for Gigabit Ethernet applications, while its long-distance optical capability makes it useful for service-provider, metropolitan, backbone and extended enterprise fibre networks.

The module is designed for use over single-mode fibre (SMF). Actual transmission distance depends on the optical link budget, fibre attenuation, connector and splice losses, network equipment and installation conditions.
