The COMPTYCO KP800 UPC OTDR Fiber Optic Tester is a professional multi-functional fiber optic and network analyzer designed for FTTH installation, telecommunications, fiber network maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service applications. By combining multiple optical and copper cable testing functions into one compact handheld device, the KP800 helps technicians perform a wide range of testing and diagnostic tasks without carrying several separate instruments.

At the core of the KP800 is a 1310/1550nm dual-wavelength OTDR, designed for testing G.652D single-mode fiber. It supports selectable measurement ranges from 100 m to 100 km, making it suitable for both short-access fiber links and longer telecommunications networks. With a dynamic range of 24/22 dB, the tester can provide useful information about fiber length, attenuation, connection points, splices, bends, and potential breaks.

The KP800 features an event blind area of approximately 1.5 m and an attenuation blind zone of approximately 7 m, allowing technicians to identify fiber events with greater precision. The device supports up to 20,000 sampling points and multiple selectable pulse widths ranging from 5 ns to 10 `ecs, allowing testing parameters to be adjusted according to the fiber link and measurement requirements.

A convenient one-click automatic measurement and analysis function simplifies OTDR operation by automatically performing measurements and analyzing detected events. The resulting event information can be viewed directly on the device and saved for later reference.

The KP800 also incorporates a wide-range Optical Power Meter (OPM) supporting nine calibration wavelengths: 850, 1270, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1577, 1625, and 1650 nm. With a measurement range of -50 to +26 dBm, it can be used for checking optical signal levels across various fiber optic network applications.

For visual fault identification, the integrated Visual Fault Locator (VFL) provides an output power of ≥10 mW and is specified for detecting suitable fiber faults over distances exceeding 10 km. The visible red laser can assist technicians in locating fiber breaks, macrobends, poor connections, and other faults where visible laser identification is possible.

The built-in Stable Light Source (LS) uses an FP-LD laser with an output of -5 dBm ±2 dB and supports CW, 270 Hz, 330 Hz, 1 kHz, and 2 kHz modulation modes. Combined with an optical power meter, this function can be used for optical loss testing and fiber link performance verification.

For copper network installations, the KP800 includes RJ45 network testing and wire tracking functions. The system supports cable sequence testing, cable length measurement, and cable tracing using the supplied RJ45 remote testing module and handheld wire tracker receiver.

The tester is operated through a 4.3-inch HD colour touchscreen, providing clear visibility of fiber traces, event maps, test results, and system settings. Its compact housing includes protective rubber corners to provide additional protection during field use.

Test results can be stored internally, with capacity for at least 1,000 files, and exported using the supported TF/SD memory card interface. OTDR measurements can be saved in the standard .SOR file format, making it convenient to transfer and analyze test records.

The KP800 is powered by a built-in 5200mAh / 3.7V lithium battery and supports convenient Type-C USB charging.
